The guys checking out Analyse Dress.

When I saw how proud he was
Of all that I’d become
I took my locket from my neck
Dad, keep this for all you’ve done.

On Quince night
My dance with him
I’ll never ever forget
His tears of love
Just broke my heart
His lifetime of work and debt.

I prayed for strength
To be the woman of grace
Leave the little girl behind
To understand a daughter’s job
And kissed his forehead one last time.

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of
trouble come and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”
Ecclesiastes 12:1

The Quinceanera

There’s something special to this day.

It’s more than any words can say.

God made this day for someone dear,

Who’s celebrating her 15th year.

She’s had some good times mixed with bad,

But she’s very thankful for each she’s had.

Today she is putting those times behind,

And starting the new life she has yet to find.

Her childhood she had may be going away,

But all the memories will forever stay.

She’ll no longer be mommy’s little girl,

For soon she’ll be out to face the world.

Her friends and relatives are gathered around,

To honor the girl who’s invisibly crowned.

No one would rather be any other place,

Than with her today to see her face.

The girl feels real happy to be surrounded by love,

And her heart finds the gold that it was made of.

Some friends are laughing, some shed a tear,

But never their feelings were very more near.

She’ll never forget this day that she spends,

She’ll cherish the memories and gifts people send.

This day may end as fast as its start, But with this poem,

It will always be in her heart.
